BRIEF:

To launch Battle of Jakku, a new downloadable content pack for key title EA title Star Wars: Battlefront, Inkling were tasked with staging an event and producing content that would engage existing Battlefront enthusiasts, first-person shooter fans and the wider Star Wars community.

SOLUTION:

On a set designed and produced by Inkling, we created an hour-long live Twitch broadcast to preview the Battle of Jakku for the first time. In fact this was the very first look at J.J. Abram’s new Star Wars world, and the only place to see learn the origin story leading into The Force Awakens - launching 2 weeks later.

Comedian and gamer Rufus Hound presented the broadcast in front of a live studio audience whilst 40x influencers – including Ali A (8.2million YouTube subscribers) and Vikkstar123 (3.2million subs) and competition winners played the game.

RESULTS:

  • Most successful Twitch stream in EA history to date
